In the second week, Mr razif told us to download TikTok and we tried out the Effect House for the first time

Mr razif told me that this is quite hard but doable but he recommended to remove the tongue thing and just make a skeleton filter

After this I got the idea to create a colossal titan from the show Attack on titan which also have the characteristics of that

Design and development

Since I had my idea set, I started researching and learning about tiktok effect house so that I can get a grasp of what to do and how to get this project done

Then I started reading and watching their tutorials to help me understand more and learn how to make tiktok filters

Then I opened the effect house app and started on this project by pressing Create project

I found it to be very confusing at first sight cuz I never used any application similar to this before

Then I slowly started figuring things out and kinda got the hang of it. I decided to use a mask filter and a background to finalize the project

After that I made the face mesh and made into a mask

Then I added some textures to make the background look nicer

My Experience

Learning the TikTok Effect House tool for this project was a bit of a hassle. I'm not really familiar with these kinds of apps, so it took some effort to figure it out. But you know what? It turned out to be a pretty cool tool that I might find useful in the future. Plus, I had a lot of fun creating the colossal titan filter.

Even though it was challenging, I enjoyed the whole process. It allowed me to be creative and explore new things. Seeing the final result made me feel proud and accomplished.

This experience taught me that stepping out of my comfort zone and taking on new challenges can lead to great things. It wasn't always easy, but I gained valuable skills and knowledge along the way. Overall, despite the initial difficulties, it was a rewarding and enjoyable journey.

Observation

Looking back on this project, I can't help but think it could have been even more interesting and fun with better guidance and planning. Some parts didn't quite fit well together in terms of timing and coordination, which took away from the overall experience.

I had never used TikTok before, and to be honest, I wasn't really interested in it. But for the sake of this project, I had to give it a try. While I understand why we used TikTok for this particular project, I felt like it could have been made more inclusive and appealing to a wider audience.

That being said, I'm grateful for the opportunity to work on this project. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to learn new skills. I gained some valuable insights into TikTok and its effect tools along the way. In the future, I believe with better planning and a broader approach, similar projects can be created to capture the interest and enjoyment of a larger group of people.

Findings

I have to admit that when they told us to make a TikTok filter, I was a bit disappointed. I thought Instagram had a better audience and more tools for making filters. Plus, I wasn't a big fan of TikTok. I had used it before, but the content seemed random and generic to me. But now, I've had a change of heart.

To my surprise, the filter I created got nearly 50,000 views and made it into the top 5% on TikTok. It was really exciting to see that kind of response. It made me realize that TikTok has its own unique community and lots of potential.

Seeing the positive feedback on my filter has made me reconsider my opinion of TikTok. It's clear that there's a whole audience out there who enjoys this platform. I'm excited to explore more of what TikTok has to offer and create content that resonates with its users.
